The Office of the Premier will review your materials and look at things like:

  • Your race, gender and which district you come from
  • Whether you have a disability – we give priority to these applicants
  • Your academic record – grades, test scores
  • How low your household income is

How much will you receive?

Your bursary depends on how much your household earns. Let’s look at the options:

Household IncomeBursary Amount

If your household income is above R800 000, you may still be eligible for a smaller amount – but it isn’t guaranteed.
