Northern Cape Department of Health invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for its Diploma in Nursing Programme (R.171) vacancies.
The closing date for applications is 14 November 2025.
What’s the Diploma in Nursing Programme?
The programme is a full‑time course that takes three years to finish.
It’s officially recognised at NQF level 6 and follows the South African Nursing Council (SANC) rules under R.171.
Students learn everything from theory and science to hands‑on nursing skills, ready to work in hospitals, clinics and community health sites.
Why you should consider this path
- Real‑world experience – you’re in a hospital for part of each year, so you learn as you play.
- Good pay and benefits – nurses work in high demand and earn competitive salaries.
- Bursary support – the Department of Health offers bursaries that can cover tuition and supplies.
- Nice career prospects – after graduation you can specialize, move into management, or even become a teaching nurse.
