What the Internship Programme Offers
Mandeni Local Municipality is looking for fresh graduates who are currently unemployed and want to gain real‑world work experience in a government setting. The programme is part of the municipality’s plan to help young people in the iLembe District, KwaZulu‑Natal, find better jobs and improve their skills.

All internships last two years and pay R4,000 per month.
Who Can Apply?
- South African citizens living in the Mandeni area
- Unemployed and between 18 and 35 years old
- Hold a recognized National Diploma or Degree in the relevant field
- Have never done an internship before
- Must send a full CV, certified copies of ID and qualifications (no older than 3 months)
- Clearly state which department you want to join in your cover letter
What You’ll Do
- Work on real projects in your chosen field
- Learn how a municipal office runs and how it delivers services
- Get guidance from experienced municipal staff
- Participate in regular reviews and learning workshops

- Put all documents in a sealed envelope labelled “Internship Programme 2025.”
- Include a cover letter that says which department you want.
- Add your CV, certified copies of your degree, ID and proof of residence.
- Hand‑deliver or post the envelope to the address listed on the municipality’s website.
