
The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) invites qualified South African graduates who are currently unemployed to apply for the 2025–2027 Graduate Internship Programme. The closing date for applications is 21 November 2025.
What the Internship Looks Like
- Duration: 24 months (starting in 2025)
- Monthly Stipend: R7 700
- Who Can Apply: South African citizens only, and you must not have done any other internship before.
- Equality Policy: The OCJ values diversity and will give priority to applicants with disabilities as part of its Employment Equity Plan.
This program will give you real‑world work experience in different divisions of the High Court and related offices. You’ll learn about court operations, legal research, public administration, and more.

- Fill out the new Z83 form – you can download it from the OCJ website.
- Gather your documents:
- Completed Z83 form (signed)
- Updated CV
- Certified copies of your ID, Matric Certificate, and Academic Transcripts

- Only people who are shortlisted will be called in for practical tests and background checks.

- If you live outside the province where the internship is based, you must arrange your own accommodation and travel.
- Any foreign qualifications must be checked by SAQA.
- The OCJ reserves the right to decline any applicant, even if you meet all the criteria.
