
Mossel Bay Municipality Invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Local Economic Development (LED) Internship Programme vacancies. The closing date for applications is 07 November 2025.
About the Internship
The Mossel Bay Municipality is looking for recent graduates who live inside the Mossel Bay area to join the Local Economic Development (LED) Internship Programme.
If you just finished a three‑year degree or a National Diploma, this internship gives you a chance to work on real projects inside a city office and to learn the skills that businesses need.
During the 12‑month placement you can get hands‑on experience in:
- Local economic development
- Tourism management
- Marketing and promotion
- Business administration
- Investment promotion
If you do well, the internship can be extended for another 12 to 24 months – a maximum of three years in total.

Type of appointment: Contractual
Monthly stipend: R9,274.85
Who Can Apply?
To be considered you must:
Hold a National Diploma or a Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) in one of these fields:
- Tourism Management
- Marketing
- Local Economic Development
- Business Administration
- Investment Promotion
- Or a closely related subject
Have a valid Code B driver’s licence for a manual vehicle.
Speak at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape fluently (Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa, isiZulu, etc.).
Know how to use basic Microsoft Office tools.
Have never worked as an intern in the public sector before.
Be ready to work overtime when needed.
You must bring proof of your qualifications and a copy of your driver’s licence. Applications that arrive late or are missing documents will not be accepted.
