What Are SETA Learnerships?

SETA learnerships are free training programs that the South African government pays for. They mix classroom or online lessons, real‑world work experience, and a monthly allowance (stipend). When you finish, you earn an official qualification that employers recognise.

Why do they exist?

  • Job readiness: They teach skills that companies need now.
  • Income while learning: You get paid from the first month.
  • No tuition costs: All fees are covered by the government.

If you’re a high‑school graduate, a jobless college student, or someone who wants to switch careers, SETA learnerships can jump‑start your future.
