About NSF & Sekhukhune TVET College
The National Skills Fund is South Africa’s main program that puts money into training that leads to real jobs.
Sekhukhune TVET College, located in Limpopo, is one of the country’s top trade schools. They work with the government and local businesses to give students quality classroom lessons, workshop work and on‑the‑job experience.

Apprenticeship Programs (36 Months)
1. Electrician
- Entry level: NCV Level 2‑4 (Electricity Infrastructure – 21 subjects) or N2‑N6 Electrical Engineering (with trade theory)
- You’ll learn to install and maintain power systems.
2. Diesel Mechanic
- Entry level: NCV Level 2‑4 (Automotive Repairs – 21 subjects) or N2‑N6 Mechanical Engineering (with diesel theory)
- You’ll work on engines and learn how to keep them running.
3. Welder
- Entry level: NCV Level 2‑4 (Fabrication – 21 subjects) or N2‑N6 Mechanical Engineering (with welding theory)
- You’ll join metal pieces together with precision.
4. Plumber
- Entry level: NCV Level 2‑4 (Civil Engineering – 21 subjects, Plumbing is a topic) or N2‑N6 Civil Engineering (with plumbing theory)
- You’ll install and fix pipes and water systems.
Who Can Apply?
- Under 35 years old
- Live inside Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality
- Meet one of the qualification lists above (NCV or N‑course)
- Currently unemployed
- Persons with disabilities are encouraged
- Students who already studied at Sekhukhune TVET College get first preference
All applicants will go through an assessment. If chosen, you’ll sign a formal agreement and an employment contract for the three years.
