Limpopo Department of Public Works Invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Multi‑Learnership and Electrical Engineering Learnership vacancies. The closing date for applications is 19 December 2025.

What is a learnership?

A learnership is a mix of school and on‑the‑job training. You’ll study in a classroom for a few months and then work with professionals for the rest of the year. At the end, you’ll earn a national qualification (NQF level) that employers recognize.

What will you earn while you learn?

Every learner receives a monthly stipend of R3,500. It’s meant to help with transport, food and living costs during the 12‑month training.


The two learning tracks

1. Multi‑Learnership (12 months)

  • Fields – Plumbing, Carpentry, Bricklaying, Painting, Building Community Homes
  • Theory – 4 months in Polokwane, covering the basics of each trade
  • Work – 6 months on projects around Limpopo, learning real‑world skills
  • Move? Yes, you’ll need to travel to Polokwane for the classroom part.

2. Electrical Engineering Learnership (12 months)

  • Focus – Wiring, installing, maintaining electrical systems and working on community projects
  • Theory – 4 months of classroom study
  • Work – 8 months on job sites across the province
  • Training centres – Lebowakgomo, Motantanyane, Community Development Centres, Abakholwe Community Developers

After the learnership

When you finish, you can go straight into jobs such as:
