Right now South Africa’s youth need practical skills to stand out in a tight job market, and the Sales and Short-Term Insurance Skills Learnership Programme offers exactly that.
What the learnership is
The National Skills Fund is funding a 75‑day learnership at Capricorn TVET College’s Ramokgopa Campus in Limpopo. It focuses on sales techniques and short‑term insurance knowledge. You will receive a daily stipend of R100, paid each month, for the days you attend.
Who can apply
To be eligible you must:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Have completed Grade 11 or Grade 12.
- Include Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy among your subjects.
- Be interested in a career in sales or insurance.
- Be able to travel to Ramokgopa Campus for training.
People who are already employed, or who are currently studying at a university or another TVET college, cannot apply. The closing date is 05 June 2026.
What you will gain
The programme builds two skill sets:
- Sales skills – customer service, communication, relationship building, marketing basics, professional conduct, and customer‑retention tactics.
- Short‑term insurance skills – insurance principles, risk basics, product knowledge, claims handling, compliance, and client advisory.
These abilities are valuable to insurance firms, financial service providers, call centres, retail banks, and any sales or customer‑service department.

- Fill in the application form with your personal details.
- Upload certified copies (no older than three months) of:
- Grade 11 report or Grade 12 certificate
- Your South African ID
- Next‑of‑kin’s ID
- Proof of residence
- Check that every field is correct and that the documents are clear.
- Submit before the 05 June deadline. Keep a copy of everything you upload.
Tips to improve your chances

- Make sure all certificates are freshly certified (within three months) and legible.
