What the opportunity is

SASSA is running two programmes:

  • Graduate Internship Programme – a 24‑month paid internship for university graduates.
  • Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme – 6‑18 months of paid practical training for TVET learners who have finished their N6 qualification.

Both programmes place you inside a government office, give you a monthly stipend and expose you to real‑world tasks.

Who can apply

Graduate Internship Programme

  • South African citizens, aged 18‑35.
  • Unemployed graduates with a relevant Degree, B‑Tech or National Diploma (NQF Level 6 or 7) in the fields listed below.
  • Must be able to work in Gauteng.

Work Integrated Learning Programme

  • South African citizens, unemployed TVET learners.
  • Completed N6 National Certificate in a relevant area.
  • Need proof from your college that you require workplace experience before completing a National Diploma.
  • Must be willing to work in Gauteng.
