Young people in Rustenburg who are unemployed now have a chance to learn workplace skills through a learnership offered by Prisma Training Solutions in partnership with the Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) and supported by the Rustenburg Local Municipality.
What the learnership is
The General Technical Practice Learnership leads to a General Education and Training Certificate (SAQA ID 49753, NQF Level 1). It combines classroom theory with on‑the‑job training, giving you a recognised qualification and practical experience.
Who can apply
- Age: 18 – 34 years
- Unemployed
- Grade 10 or higher
- Mathematical Literacy at ABET Level 3
- Communication at ABET Level 3
- Resident of one of these Rustenburg communities: Phokeng, Paardekraal, Sunrise Park, Boitekong, Meriting
- Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply
What you will gain
Successful learners will receive the General Education and Training Certificate: General Technical Practice (SAQA ID 49753, NQF Level 1). The qualification covers:
- Safe work practices and use of tools
- Reading diagrams and following instructions
