How to apply – step‑by‑step

Obtain the Educator Employment Profile (EDP 01) form. You can download it from the Eastern Cape Department of Education website or collect a copy from any district office.
Complete the form in full. Do not photocopy a completed form; fill in a fresh original.
Prepare the required supporting documents (see list below).
Make a separate application form for each principal post you wish to be considered for. Clearly write the post number, school name, and district on each form.
Submit the completed form and supporting documents to the relevant district office only before the closing date.
Wait for an official appointment letter. You may be contacted for an interview and will need to cover any travel costs yourself.

Certified copy of your South African ID document.
Certified copies of all academic qualifications, including any teacher‑training certificates.
