Limpopo Education Department Internship 2027–2029 – 312 Posts
The Limpopo Department of Education is opening its Internship Programme 2027–2029 for unemployed South African graduates who live permanently in Limpopo. With 312 paid posts across the province, this is a real chance to start a career in the public sector.
What the opportunity is
The programme runs for 24 months. Successful interns receive a monthly stipend of R6 925.75 while they gain structured work experience in the provincial education system. The intake covers a wide range of fields – not only education – such as public administration, finance, human resources, IT, law, engineering, psychology, social sciences and many more.
Who can apply
- South African citizen
- Age between 18 and 35 years
- Permanent resident of Limpopo Province
- Unemployed at the time of application
- Holder of a recognised three‑year tertiary qualification that matches the internship stream you choose

- Professional mentoring and on‑the‑job training
- Exposure to the education sector’s administration, finance, IT systems, legal services and more
- A solid entry point for future permanent roles in the public service

Tips to improve your chances
- Use the SETA SA Career & Qualification Explorer to confirm which occupations link to your qualification.
- Read each reference series carefully; applying with the wrong reference will lead to rejection.
- Tailor your CV to the specific stream – list relevant courses, software skills and any related work or volunteer experience.
- Follow the Employment Equity guidance: the department will give due consideration to women, youth and persons with disabilities, but merit still decides.
- Do not pay anyone to secure a placement. The process is free of charge.
