Cementation Africa Invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their 18.2 (Non‑employed) Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (NQF Level 2) learnership programme vacancies. The closing date for applications is the 7th October 2025.

What the Learnership Is About

You’ll learn the basics of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) so you can work safely in any job.
The training gives you real‑world tools to spot and fix safety problems at work.
When you finish, you can move on to more advanced HSE jobs or keep working safely in any sector.
The programme lasts six months and includes hands‑on tasks that help create a safe workplace culture.

How You’ll Grow

You’ll learn to manage your own health and safety at work, even when no one is watching.
You’ll identify bad things in the workplace that could hurt people or the environment.
After the course, you’ll know how to do basic measurements and checks that keep everyone safe.
The skill set is broad enough that you can work anywhere that needs HSE knowledge.

Minimum Requirements

Must have a Grade 10 or Grade 11 finish with a clean report card that shows your school’s stamp.
Having Grade 12 is a bonus but not essential.
You must be unemployed right now.
You have to be a South African citizen.
Good speaking and writing skills in English are required.
Be physically fit to work underground in a mine.
You must not have any criminal convictions.
Female applicants must not be pregnant for safety reasons.
Cementation Africa does not allow alcohol or illegal drugs. You will be tested for drugs and alcohol as part of the onboarding and periodically during the course.
You must be able to travel to the Training Academy in Carletonville every two weeks by yourself.
You cannot be enrolled in another learnership at the same time.
