Your 2025 Power Move: Inside the Mthashana TVET and FASSET In‑Service Training Programme Everyone’s Talking About

Mthashana TVET College invites qualified applicants to apply for its Work Integrated Learning (WIL) training vacancies. The closing date for applications is 10 October 2025.


What is WIL and why it matters

Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is a program that gives students who have finished an N6 qualification real‑world work experience while they finish their diploma.  Mthashana TVET College partners with the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET) to offer paid internships that last 18 months and help you earn a recognized diploma.


Training posts available (18 months, R 3 500 stipend each)

1. Business Management – In‑service training

  • Ref: MTC/FASSETA‑1/2025
  • Qualifications: N6 Certificate in Business Management
  • What you’ll learn: Everyday business tasks, teamwork, office software, and how businesses run.
  • Pay: R 3 500 a month
  • Key duties: Follow your supervisor’s instructions, complete logbook tasks, and apply the skills you learn to real projects.

2. Management Assistant – In‑service training

  • Ref: MTC/FASSETA‑M2/2025
  • Qualifications: N6 Certificate in Management or a related field
  • Pay: R 3 500 a month
  • Key duties: Support the management team, keep records, and help with scheduling and communication.

3. Public Management – In‑service training

  • Ref: MTC/FASSETA‑P3/2025
  • Qualifications: N6 Certificate in Public Management
  • Pay: R 3 500 a month
  • Key duties: Work on public‑sector projects, learn about policy, and assist with community outreach.

4. Human Resource Management – In‑service training

  • Ref: MTC/FASSETA‑H4/2025
  • Qualifications: N6 Certificate in Human Resource Management
  • Pay: R 3 500 a month
  • Key duties: Handle recruitment, employee support, and HR systems under a mentor’s guidance.

What you need to send

  1. PDF application – all documents in a single file.
  2. Updated CV – make sure it shows your N6 certificate and any past work or volunteering.
  3. ID copy – a clear digital scan.
  4. Copy of N6 Certificate – must match the PDF.
  5. Copy of your matric or NCV Level 4 certificate – if you have them.
  6. Academic history – most recent grades and schools attended.

Documents that aren’t clear will automatically lose their chance, so double‑check before sending.


How to apply

  1. Mail your PDF to applications@mthashana.edu.za.
  2. Subject line must include the reference number (e.g., “MTC/FASSETA‑1/2025 – Application”).
  3. One application per post – if you send multiple copies for the same post you’ll be disqualified.
  4. Only shortlisted candidates will hear back. If you do not receive an email within 3 months of the closing date, you might not have been selected.
