If you love helping people and want a job that makes a real difference, the Gauteng College of Nursing (GCON) is looking for students to start a Diploma in Nursing in 2026. You can study at one of four campuses: Ann Latsky, Chris Hani Baragwanath, SG Lourens, or Bonalesedi.

Who can apply?
- South African citizen living in Gauteng
- You must have one of these school certificates or be in Grade 12:
- Senior Certificate
- National Senior Certificate
- National Vocational Certificate (Primary Health)

If you have a National Vocational Certificate (Primary Health), you need:
- 50 % in core subjects (English FAL, Maths/Maths Literacy, Life Orientation)
- 60 % in vocational courses (e.g., SA Healthcare System, Public Health, Human Body & Mind)
Current Grade 12 students must already meet the NSC criteria from their Grade 11 results.

- Sign an agreement with the Gauteng Department of Health.
- Attend classes at your chosen campus.
- Take part in Work Integrated Learning (WIL). That means working real hours—weekends, nights, and public holidays—at local hospitals and clinics in Gauteng.
