About the City of Johannesburg

What You’ll Do
You’ll join the Strategic Communications team and help make the city’s brand shine. Your daily tasks might include:
- Designing graphics for print and online projects
- Creating eye‑catching social media images
- Building a consistent visual identity for city materials
- Making infographics, short animations, and other multimedia pieces
- Sketching and drafting ideas for new campaigns
- Collaborating with finance, accounting, and other city departments
What You’ll Learn

- Researching the latest design tools and trends

Who We’re Looking For
If you have the right background and skills, you’re a good fit. We need:
- A finished Grade 12 or a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, Visual Arts, Marketing, Web Design, or a similar creative field
- Good command of design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and optionally Toon Boom
- Strong attention to detail and good organisation
- Able to communicate clearly, solve problems, and work with a team
- Comfortable writing short content and presenting ideas
