ETDP SETA Mpumalanga invites qualified youth to apply for the New Venture Creation programme.
Applications close on 31 October 2025.


The ETDP SETA Mpumalanga provincial office works with Ehlanzeni TVET College to open a new path for South African teens who want to grow in farming and business. The short‑skills programme, called New Venture Creation (SP‑210401, NQF Level 2), teaches you how to start and run a small business that can feed a community and build your own future.

What the programme covers

  • Six months of real‑world training
  • How to write a business plan and manage money
  • Basic farm science and how crops grow
  • Ways to find customers and grow sales

When you finish, you won’t just have a diploma – you’ll also receive:

  • One‑year business coaching (incubation)
  • Help finding buyers and suppliers (market linkages)
  • Possible funding or investors who want to support new farms

Money you’ll get to help you finish the programme

  • A monthly stipend of R3,000 – that can pay for food, transport or other basic needs so you can focus on learning.

How to apply

Bring these documents:

  1. A certified copy of your ID.
  2. A certified copy of your latest school certificate (NCV or Grade 11/12). The certificate must be less than six months old.
