What Does a Cleaner Do?

You’ll keep a health‑care site clean and safe, both inside and outside. That means:

  • Wiping down floors, doors, walls, windows, steps, beds, and lockers
  • Sweeping, mopping, and general tidying
  • Using machines like polishers and other cleaning equipment
  • Mixing and handling cleaning chemicals the right way
  • Helping out with any extra tasks your supervisor asks you to do
  • Making sure the workplace is tidy and safe for everyone

This job is a lot of physical activity. You’ll be on your feet most of the time, may shift between different tasks, and sometimes have to work quickly if the job needs it.
