Polokwane Local Municipality: 2026 Infrastructure Skills Development Graduate Programme – Apply Today

Polokwane Local Municipality Invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) Graduate Programme vacancies. The closing date for applications is 21 November 2025.


What is the ISDG Graduate Programme?

The ISDG is a three‑year training and work‑experience programme run by the Polokwane Local Municipality together with the Department of National Treasury. It gives unemployed graduates a chance to learn real skills in the built‑environment and infrastructure fields while earning a monthly stipend of R18,000. The programme is open to people who are still fresh out of university and want to start a career in construction, civil engineering, property valuation, or water and hydraulic engineering.

Who can apply?

  • Must be unemployed at the time of application.
  • A valid driver’s licence is a plus.
  • Must be a South African citizen living inside the Polokwane Local Municipality.
  • Must be under 35 years old.
  • Must supply a stamped proof of residence (utility bill, local authority document) issued within the last three months.

How to submit an application

  1. Download the application form from the Polokwane website: http://www.polokwane.gov.za.
  2. Fill it out completely.
  3. Attach the following:
    • A detailed CV.
    • Certified copies of your degree certificates and proof of residence.
    • Any other documents that support your application.
  4. Deliver the finished packet in person to the Resource Development Manager at the Civic Centre, corner of Landdros Mare & Bodenstein Streets, Office Numbers 903/904, Polokwane.
