Rand Water Graduate Internship 2026 – Apply by 22 June

What the internship programme offers

Rand Water will take on 34 graduate trainees for a 24‑month development programme. The roles are based in Johannesburg, Gauteng and cover many fields such as engineering, finance, auditing, chemistry, social work and more.

  1. Risk Management or Quality Management – 1 position
    Qualification: Bachelor’s degree, BTech in Risk Management or BTech in Quality Management
  2. Wellness – 1 position
    Qualification: National Diploma in Sports or equivalent
  3. Project Management – 1 position
    Qualification: Advanced Diploma in Construction Management
  4. Chemistry – 1 position
    Qualification: Relevant chemistry qualification (details not listed)
  5. Probity Auditing – 4 positions
    Qualification: National Diploma, Degree or equivalent in Internal Auditing
  6. Civil Engineering / Geomatics – 8 positions
    Qualification: National Diploma, BTech, BEng, BSc, Technologist or Technician qualification
  7. Training & Development Research – 2 positions
    Qualification: Master of Commerce (MCom)
  8. Electrical Engineering – 1 position
    Specialisation: Heavy Current or Light Current
  9. Social Work – 1 position
    Qualification: Relevant social work qualification
  10. Treasury, Investment and Financial Analysis – 2 positions
    Fields: Treasury, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Investment Management
  11. Public Management and Development Studies – 1 position
    Qualification: National Diploma, BTech or Degree in Public Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences or Development Studies
  12. Health and Safety Management (SHE) – 3 positions
    Qualification: National Diploma, Degree or BSc in Health and Safety Management
  13. Mechanical Engineering – 2 positions
    Qualification: Relevant mechanical engineering qualification
  14. Library and Information Science – 1 position
    Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science
  15. Finance – 1 position
    Qualification: Relevant finance qualification
  16. Electrical & Electronic Engineering – 1 position
    Qualification: Relevant electrical/electronic engineering qualification
  17. Automation Engineering – 1 position
    Field: Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
  18. Water Resources Management / Environmental Education – 2 positions
    Qualification: BSc Water Resources Management or postgraduate qualification in Environmental Education
  19. Finance (BCom) – 1 position
    Qualification: BCom in Finance
