Rosond invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Rosond Bursary Programme for 2026.
The closing date for applications is 16 November 2025.

Rosond is one of South Africa’s top companies that drill for diamonds, gold, iron ore and platinum.
For more than 60 years, they have supplied quick, safe and affordable drilling and grouting services to mines and exploration projects across Africa.

The company now offers a bursary – a free scholarship – for students who want to study fields that help the mining and engineering industries grow.


What the Rosond Bursary Covers

The bursary supports undergraduate students in these subjects:

  • Data Science
  • Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
  • Environmental Management
  • Finance
  • Geology
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Mining
  • Occupational Health & Safety
  • Supply Chain
  • Technical Trades

These subjects are chosen because they are crucial for South Africa’s future and for the skills Rosond needs.


Who Can Apply

To be considered, you must:

  1. Be a South African citizen between 18 and 30 years old.
  2. Have finished high school (Matric).
  3. Be studying or planning to study full‑time in one of the approved subjects.
  4. Be in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year at a recognized South African university or college.
  5. Have an average of at least 60 % in your latest results.
  6. Live in a community served by Rosond – priority will be given to those residents.
  7. If you come from a previously disadvantaged background, the bursary will favour you.
  8. If you are a legal or biological dependent of a Rosond employee, you may qualify as an internal applicant.

Documents You Need

Your application will be rejected if any document is missing. Please send a clear, certified copy of each:

  1. South African ID
  2. Matric certificate
  3. Current academic record or transcript
  4. Recent financial statement or a quote from your institution showing fees
  5. Proof of registration (official letterhead from your university/college)
  6. A motivational letter that explains why you deserve the bursary
  7. Proof of where you live (utility bill, lease, etc.)
  8. Proof of household income (payslips, bank statements, affidavits, or proof of grants/pensions). If a guardian is deceased, attach a death certificate.

How to Apply

  1. Download the application form from the Rosond website (link below).
  2. Complete the form carefully.
  3. Gather all supporting documents listed above.
  4. Email the full packet to bursary@rosond.com.

Missing any item will mean your application is not processed.
