  • Double‑check that you have selected the correct trade and requisition number.
  • Make sure your Red Seal was issued within the last four years.
  • Tailor your CV to highlight any project work, internships or short‑term placements you have completed.
  • Include a brief cover letter that explains why you want the WITL experience and how you will contribute to Transnet.
  • Submit before the deadline – technical glitches can happen at the last minute.
  • Do not claim experience or qualifications you do not have; inaccurate information will disqualify you.

Next steps

If you meet the criteria, start your application today. While you wait, use the SETA SA resources to explore other technical pathways, learn about QCTO‑accredited providers and check additional learnerships in the transport sector. Building a solid CV takes time, but the WITL programme can give you the experience employers are looking for.
