Volkswagen Group South Africa invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Learnership and Technical Apprenticeship Programme vacancies. The closing date for applications is the 04 November 2025.
Why Choose the Volkswagen Learnership?
Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) is looking for bright, driven young South Africans who want to start a real career in the world of cars, factories, and high‑tech machines. The company, together with the Technical Learning Academy (TLA) and UNIONS, offers a full‑time training plan that turns you into an expert in a hands‑on job. You’ll learn inside VWSA’s state‑of‑the‑art facilities and on real machines.
What the Programme Covers
The learnership is split into several apprentice fields. Pick the ones that tickle your curiosity:
| Field | What You’ll Do |
|---|---|
| Electrical | Wiring, circuits, and power systems |
| Mechanical Fitter | Mounting, fitting and maintaining parts |
| Millwright | Working with big machines and shop floor rigs |
| Automotive Motor Mechanic | Repairing engines and car components |
| Tool Making | Designing and creating specialised tools |
| Welding | Joining metal parts with heat and skill |
| Transportation Electrician | Power systems for road, rail or air |
| Mechatronics Technician | Merging electronics, mechanics and computing |
Each field gives you both hands‑on practice and theoretical classroom learning. By the end, you’ll be ready to work in automotive or manufacturing plants around South Africa.
