Who Should Apply? – Requirements

  • Matriculation (Grade 12) – This is the main school finish.
  • Basic knowledge of UIF rules – You’ll need to know the rules for unemployment insurance, but you can learn them during training.
  • Understanding of the rules for money handling and privacy – This helps you explain the paperwork clearly.
  • Helpful skills
    • Talking to people (verbal and written)
    • Using a computer
    • Listening carefully
    • Solving small conflicts
    • Managing your own time
    • Reading instructions and rules

What You’ll Do

  1. Screen people – Check that they meet the basic eligibility.
  2. Process benefit applications – Fill out forms and send them out.
  3. Register payment forms – Make sure everyone gets the money they’re owed.
  4. Help with paperwork – Keep files tidy and answer questions.
