
The North West Provincial Government – Office of the Premier invites students to apply for the Victor Thebe Sifora Provincial Bursary Programme 2026. Applications close on 20 November 2025.
The bursary is for South African youth who live in the North West Province and want to study full‑time at a public university or college. It is aimed at students who need money and have good grades, especially those in their first year of university.
What the bursary can cover

How to apply
- Fill out the online bursary application form – sections A to E.
- Submit certified copies of the following documents:
- Proof of permanent residence (letter from your traditional authority or local municipality).
- Certified copy of your ID.
- Certified copy of your matric results or matric certificate.
- Certified copy of your latest university results (if you already study).
- Certified copy of your acceptance letter from a public higher‑education institution.
- Proof of your parents’ or guardians’ income (salary slips, affidavit if unemployed, or death certificate if deceased).
