What the City of Tshwane is Looking For
The City of Tshwane wants people who can keep public spaces tidy and safe.
There are 100 cleaner posts open across all areas of Tshwane.
The job is a fixed‑term contract that won’t last more than three years, and you’ll earn R6 000 a month.

Your Daily Tasks
If you get the job, you’ll do:
- Clean offices, hallways, gardens, parking lots and other work areas.
- Sweep, scrub, polish, strip and vacuum floors and surfaces.
- Empty rubbish bins and ashtrays.
- Wash windows, walls, staircases, lifts, toilets, kitchens, and office equipment.
- Refill soap, paper, and deodoriser holders.
- Collect recyclable paper for the City.
- Help out with extra clean‑up jobs when needed.
Note: Some tasks may change, but they will stay within the same job level and scope.
What You Need
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Experience cleaning in an office environment is a plus.
- Experience with gardening is a bonus.
- You must be fit and healthy enough to work for long periods.
- You must be ready to travel to any part of Tshwane as the job requires.

- Hard‑working and dependable.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.
