eThekwini Municipal Academy Directorate invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for the Electronics Development Programme vacancies. The closing date for applications is 14 November 2025.

The eThekwini Municipal Academy Directorate has a learning‑and‑working programme called the Electronics Development Programme. It’s made for people who are 18‑35, live in eThekwini, and are looking for a steady job in electronics and other tech fields. Who can join?

How to Apply – Step by Step

1. Gather Your Documents

  • Matric certificate – the proof that you finished high school.
  • SA Identity Document – your ID card.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) – a simple list of your education and any work or volunteer experience.
  • Medical check‑up – shows you’re fit for the job.
  • Security clearance – a short form that checks your background.
  • Proof of residence – a utility bill or lease showing you’re in eThekwini.

2. Take the Tests

You’ll do a mix of tests to show what you can do:

  • Verbal tests – check your English and problem‑solving.

3. Commit to the Full Programme

If you get chosen, you must finish the entire course. It’s set up by QCTO/SETA so it meets national training standards. Think of it as a paid internship that turns into a real job.

4. Priority for Disabled Applicants

If you’re a person with a disability (PWD), you’re welcome to apply. We give extra consideration to residents of:

  • Inanda
  • Ntuzuma
  • KwaMashu (INK)
