Momentum Contact Centre Learnership 2026: Apply by 23 April
If you’re unemployed, living in Bellville, and want to start a real career in healthcare and customer service, the Momentum Contact Centre Learnership Programme 2026 could be the break you’ve been waiting for.
South Africa’s youth unemployment is serious. But this learnership through Momentum Health — part of Momentum Metropolitan Group — offers something concrete: 12 months of paid training, real workplace experience, and a nationally recognised qualification that employers actually want.
What Is This Learnership?
This isn’t a short course. You’ll work towards an Occupational Certificate in Health Care Benefits Advisor (NQF Level 5) — a real qualification that opens doors in medical schemes, insurance companies, and call centres across South Africa.
You’ll combine classroom learning with hands-on training in Momentum’s contact centre. You’ll handle real client calls, learn their systems, and build a professional track record. By the end, you won’t just have a certificate — you’ll have experience employers respect.
Programme Details:

- English and one other South African language at 50% minimum each
Your Personal Situation:
- South African citizen

Documents You Must Prepare Now
This is where many applications fail. Get these certified copies ready before you apply:
- Certified copy of your ID
- Certified copy of your Matric certificate
- Certification must be dated within the last 3 months
Visit your local police station, municipality, or lawyer to get certified copies. It costs very little. Don’t guess — get it done correctly.
What Will You Actually Do?
This is active work, not sitting in a classroom. You’ll:
- Attend structured training on health insurance and medical schemes
- Take real client calls under supervision
- Learn Momentum’s systems and procedures
- Keep a learner logbook of what you’ve learned
- Build a Portfolio of Evidence for assessment
- Complete written tests and pass the EISA examination
- Show up professionally and on time, every day
You’re treated as a developing professional, not an intern. That matters for your confidence and your CV.
What Skills Will You Gain?
By the end, you’ll have:
- Real call centre and customer service experience
- Knowledge of health insurance and medical benefits
- Professional workplace habits
- Problem-solving and communication skills
- A nationally recognised certificate
- A work history that makes you employable
These skills transfer. You won’t be locked into one job or company. You’ll be ready for multiple careers.
What Momentum Looks For (Beyond Your Marks)
Your grades matter, but so do you as a person. Successful learners usually have:
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Good communication
- Teamwork attitude
- Reliability and punctuality
If you’ve shown these qualities in school, sports, or community work, mention them in your application.
How to Apply (Step by Step)
Step 1: Gather your documents (ID and Matric certificate, certified).
Step 2: Visit the Momentum careers portal and select this learnership.
Step 3: Fill in your details carefully. No spelling mistakes or false information.
Step 4: Upload your certified copies. Make sure the files are clear and readable.
Step 5: Submit before 23 April 2026.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you don’t hear back, it doesn’t mean “no” forever — apply for the next intake.
Tips to Improve Your Chances
Apply early. Many Momentum learnerships close before the official deadline because they get so many applications. Don’t wait until April.
Write a clean, professional CV. One page is fine. Include your matric subjects and marks. If you’ve worked (even informal jobs), include that. Mention any leadership, sports, or volunteer work.
Double-check everything before you submit. Spelling mistakes, wrong dates, or unclear documents get applications rejected. Read through twice.
Be honest. Don’t lie about employment status or studies. They verify these details.
Answer application questions thoughtfully. Don’t rush. Show that you understand the healthcare industry and why you want this job.
What Happens After the Learnership?
The learnership itself is 12 months. It’s not permanent employment, but it’s a powerful stepping stone.
Jobs you could move into after:
- Contact centre agent
- Health care benefits advisor
- Client service consultant
- Medical scheme administrator
- Claims administrator
- Customer experience specialist
With more experience, you could progress to:
- Team leader
- Quality assurance
- Operations coordinator
- Training facilitator
Many former learners use this qualification to get permanent jobs. Your 12 months of real experience matters more than you might think.
Questions You Might Have
Is this paid? Yes. You receive a monthly stipend while you learn.
Can I study while doing the learnership? No. You cannot be registered at any university, college, or part-time course during the 12 months.
Do I need work experience to apply? No. First-time workers are welcome. That’s the whole point of learnerships.
What if I live outside Bellville? You need to be able to commute independently. Public transport or own transport — as long as you can get there consistently.
Is this guaranteed employment? No. But the qualification and experience make you much more hireable than before.
Important Safety Information
Momentum will never ask you for money to apply. Not upfront, not ever. If someone asks for a fee, it’s a scam.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Momentum directly. Don’t believe messages from people claiming to “help” you apply — go straight to the official portal.
Verify this opportunity on the official Momentum Metropolitan careers website before applying anywhere else.
Next Steps
This is a real opportunity from a real, established company. But you have to act now.
The closing date is 23 April 2026. Don’t assume you have time. Prepare your documents this week. Apply within the next two weeks. The earlier you submit, the better your chances.
Your Matric was the first step. This learnership is the second. Take it seriously, and you’ll have a career path ahead of you — not just a job.
