What the opportunity is

The learnership lasts 12 months and gives you a National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 3 Certificate as a Freight Handler. You will work in real warehouse or distribution settings and get paid R4 200 each month.

Who can apply (requirements)

You must meet the following basic criteria:

  • Matric certificate
  • Currently unemployed
  • Available to start right away
  • Physically fit enough to lift heavy items
  • Willing to work shifts when needed

What you will gain

During the year you will develop both technical and soft skills.

  • Technical: handling cargo, operating pallet jacks and basic forklift tasks (if trained), stock control, documentation and basic logistics coordination.

  • Workplace readiness: health‑and‑safety awareness, professional conduct and reporting procedures.

After you finish, you will have a nationally recognised NQF Level 3 certificate, practical experience, and a monthly stipend that can help you while you look for full‑time work.
