Broadband Infraco Invites Qualified Applicants to Join Their 2025 Placement Programs – Applications Close on 17 November 2025

Broadband Infraco, a leading telecom firm in Radiokop that builds long‑distance national and international fibre‑optic networks, is looking for fresh South African graduates to apply for its 2025 University Placement Programme and TVET Placement Programme. The aim is to give young people the hands‑on work experience they need to finish school and kick‑start a career in engineering or ICT.


1. University Placement Programme – 6‑Month Internship

Division: Operations & Maintenance (O&M)

What You Need

Higher StudiesFinished theoretical studies (S4) for a National Diploma or an N6 National Certificate in:
• Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current or Light Current) or
• Computer Science
Work‑experience LetterA letter from your university confirming you need work experience to complete your qualification
Prior ExperienceNone required – we’ll train you

Where You’ll Work

  • Beaufort West – 1 spot (first choice for residents)
  • East London – 1 spot (first choice for residents)

The programme lasts six months. You’ll learn about maintaining and upgrading fibre‑optic networks and gain real‑world skills that can be used in any engineering or ICT role.


2. TVET Placement Programme – 12‑Month Apprenticeship

Positions Available: 8 (all in Gauteng)
Division: NOC (Network Operations Center)

What You Need

What You’ll Get

  • Monthly Stipend – you’ll receive a salary while you learn.
  • The programme lasts a full year and focuses on network operations, troubleshooting, and support.

3. How to Apply

Send the following to careers@infraco.co.za:

  1. Updated CV – keep it clear and simple.
  2. Cover Letter – explain why you’re interested and what you can bring to the team.
  3. Proof of Qualifications – certificates or transcripts.
  4. Confirmation Letter – from your university or TVET college about your need for work experience.

Make sure you submit all documents before the deadline: 17 November 2025. Applications after this date won’t be considered.


4. Important Things to Know

  • Broadband Infraco will decide who to invite for an interview.
  • Applicants must meet all listed qualifications and pass a reference check.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
  • If you don’t hear back within four weeks, it means your application was not successful.
  • Placements respect the company’s Employment Equity Plan, meaning we welcome applicants with disabilities.
