Buscor’s 2026 Bursary Programme: The Career Boost Every Student Wants—Apply Now!

Buscor invites qualified applicants to apply for the 2026 Bursary Programme vacancies.
The closing date for applications is 10 October 2025.

What is the Buscor 2026 Bursary Programme?

Buscor (Pty) Ltd is a big bus transport company that works hard to help the people who live in Mbombela, Nkomazi, and part of Bushbuckridge.
They are offering a special money‑help plan called the 2026 Bursary Programme.
If you live in one of those areas and want to study at a university or college, this chance could help you pay for your tuition and books.

What the Bursary Covers and How Long It Lasts

  • The bursary (money support) can be paid for up to five years.
  • You’ll get the money each year only if you:
    1. Pass all of your exams for that year.
    2. Stay on the same course or degree you started.
    3. The company still has enough cash to keep giving bursaries.

Important: If you already got a Bursary from Buscor in 2025 or earlier, you will need to reapply for 2026.
You must fill out a new application and send fresh results; the bursary will not automatically renew.

Who Can Apply? – Your Eligibility Checklist

  1. Live in Mbombela, Nkomazi, or part of Bushbuckridge – that means you are already in Buscor’s service zone.
  2. Want to start a full‑time undergraduate program in 2026 – this can be at a university or a recognized college.
  3. Grade 12 result of at least a “C” – that is the lowest mark you can have to qualify.
  4. If you are still in Grade 12: send the mid‑year results with your application.
    • If you are shortlisted, you must send your final results by 16 January 2026.
  5. If you are already a university student: you also need to send your university results by 16 January 2026.
  6. Proof that you are enrolled in a recognized university or college must be shown before any bursary money is released.

These rules are in place so that the bursary goes to someone who is serious about learning.

Application and Selection Process

Buscor’s management committee will review every application.
Because there are only a few bursaries available, simply meeting the minimum requirements does not make you a sure winner.

What matters most:

  • Successful completion of the previous year of study shows you can keep going.
  • The committee may favour students who have already proven themselves good at school.

What you should keep in mind:

  • Your application alone does not guarantee a bursary.
  • Only applicants who are shortlisted will be contacted for the next steps.
  • Late applications will not be accepted, so please act quickly!

How to Apply

  1. Go to the Human Resources Department at your local Buscor office.
  2. Pick up a paper application form or download one from the HR webpage.
  3. Fill in every question carefully. A complete and correct application is crucial.
  4. Bring your final Grade 12 paper or your university enrolment letter.
  5. Submit the completed form and supporting documents no later than 10 October 2025.
  6. If you have questions or need extra copies, email the HR team at secretaryHR@buscor.co.za or call the HR hotline.
