Dorper Wind Farm Bursary Programme 2026

Dorper Wind Farm invites qualified students to apply for the 2026 Bursary Programme. Applications close on 30 November 2025.

Why the Dorper Wind Farm Matters

Dorper Wind Farm is one of South Africa’s biggest clean‑energy projects. It sits in the Eastern Cape and can produce about 100 megawatts of power – enough to keep thousands of homes light without burning fossil fuels.

The wind farm is part of South Africa’s push to use more renewable energy, slow climate change, and give local communities new jobs. Nearby towns like Molteno and Sterrkstroom benefit from new schools, roads and other services.

What the Bursary Covers

This scholarship is for students from Molteno and Sterkstroom who want to study:

  • Teaching
  • Engineering
  • Science (biology, chemistry, physics, maths)
  • Trades and Artisan skills (plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, etc.)
  • Other related subjects

You can be a university student or a TVET/FET college student. The bursary helps cover tuition and some living costs.
