Tips to improve your chances

  • Match your application to the exact category you meet – do not apply for a higher role just because the stipend is larger.
  • List specific security tasks you have performed; use the wording from the advert (e.g., “recorded entry and exit of visitors”, “maintained occurrence registers”).
  • Ensure all certificates are current and certified copies are clear.
  • Double‑check that your PSIRA registration is active and matches the details on your CV.
  • Attach the medical fitness certificate for Guard applications – it is easy to overlook.
  • Clearly state your preferred location on the application letter.
  • Submit the package a few days before the deadline; avoid last‑minute delivery.
