eThekwini Municipality Community-Based Social Media Internship 2026/2027 offers 18 months of structured workplace training. It helps students complete their WIL requirements while gaining real experience in community communication and digital storytelling.
The programme runs in the Durban area and focuses on connecting the municipality with local residents through awareness campaigns and public information.
Who can apply
You must meet all these requirements:
- Be a South African citizen
- Live within the eThekwini Municipality area
- Submit a confirmation of residence letter from your local Councillor
- Be NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training)
- Be studying Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Journalism, Digital Marketing or a related field
- Need WIL placement to complete your qualification
