EWSETA 2026 Water & Wastewater Learnership – Fully Funded Internship – Apply Now
Marung T, in partnership with EWSETA, is looking for suitable young people to apply for their fully funded 12‑month learnership in water and wastewater treatment. The closing date for applications is 18 February 2026.
What you’ll actually be doing
Imagine spending a year learning how to keep communities safe and clean. Every day you’ll:
- Watch water move through purification plants
- Check quality tests and spot any changes
- Help run the equipment that treats both drinking water and sewage
- Keep an eye on safety rules and environmental laws
- Work with a small team to make sure the plant runs smoothly
You’ll finish with a nationally recognised NQF Level 4 qualification in Water & Wastewater Treatment Process Control Supervision. Plus, you get a R3 000 monthly stipend to cover transport, meals and everyday expenses.
Because you’ll be working in real municipal facilities, you’ll get hands‑on experience that employers love.

- Unemployed or not working in a job yet
- 18‑35 years old
- Holds a Grade 12 / Matric certificate
