Are you a recent graduate of Gert Sibande TVET College and still looking for real‑world experience? A new Graduate Internship and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme – offered in partnership with Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) – is now open, and the deadline is fast approaching.
What the opportunity involves
The programme creates a direct pathway from study to work in the wholesale and retail sector across the Gert Sibande Region, Mpumalanga. In total, 175 placements are available:
- Graduate Internship: 100 spots, 12‑month duration.
- Work Integrated Learning (WIL): 75 spots, 18‑month duration.
Both tracks aim to give you hands‑on exposure that complements your qualification and boosts your employability.
Who can apply
To be eligible, you must meet **all** of the following criteria:
- Graduate of Gert Sibande TVET College only.
- Age between 18 and 35 years.
- Currently unemployed and not studying.
- Not engaged in any other internship, learnership or training programme during the placement period.
Specific programmes and eligible qualifications
NCV Business Studies Graduate Internship Programme
• 100 positions – 12 months
Eligible NCV Business Studies subjects:- Marketing
- Office Administration
- Transport and Logistics
- Management
- Finance, Economics and Accounting
Interns will be placed in wholesale or retail companies operating in the Gert Sibande Region.
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme
• 75 positions – 18 months
Eligible qualifications:- Management Assistant
- Financial Management
- Human Resource Management
- Clothing Production
WIL placements are designed to match the training directly to your field of study.
