ISEP 2026 internship at Golden Gate Highlands – deadline 10 July

Young South Africans who are out of work and want real experience in tourism should act now – the Integrated Service Excellence Programme (ISEP) 2026 is closing on 10 July 2026.

What the opportunity is

The Department of Tourism, together with Harambee and South African National Parks (SANParks), is offering a 12‑month placement at Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the Free State. It is a paid internship that gives you hands‑on experience in tourism, hospitality and conservation.

Who can apply

  • South African citizen, aged 18‑35
  • Matric (Grade 12) – submit a certified copy
  • Live within 30 km of the park (proof of residence required)
  • Clear criminal record
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

What you will gain

  • Monthly stipend of R4 600 (up to 23 working days per month)
  • Practical experience in customer service, visitor assistance and hospitality
