What the opportunity is
The Department of Tourism, together with Harambee and South African National Parks (SANParks), is offering a 12‑month placement at Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the Free State. It is a paid internship that gives you hands‑on experience in tourism, hospitality and conservation.
Who can apply
- South African citizen, aged 18‑35
- Matric (Grade 12) – submit a certified copy
- Live within 30 km of the park (proof of residence required)
- Clear criminal record
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

- Monthly stipend of R4 600 (up to 23 working days per month)
