What the Opportunity Is
John Thompson (ACTOM Division) has up to 20 apprenticeship positions in Bellville. You will learn boilermaking or welding through structured training and workplace practice.
Who Can Apply
You must:
- Live in the Western Cape
- Be aged 18 to 35
- Be medically fit
- Have one of these: Technical Grade 12 with Maths and Science, Academic Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science, N2 Engineering Studies, or NCV Level 4 Fabrication
Maths Literacy is not accepted. Qualified artisans in other trades cannot apply. This programme is for entry-level candidates only.
What You Gain
You will learn to read drawings, fabricate metal, weld, and build structures. Successful candidates start with a three-month evaluation period and may then enter the full apprenticeship. This gives you artisan skills and better job prospects.
