Lesaka Technologies is looking for suitable young people to apply for their 12‑month paid internship programme opportunities. The closing date for applications is 20 February 2026.
What’s the deal?
If you’ve just finished a National Diploma or a Bachelor’s and want a real taste of fintech while earning a paycheck, this internship is a solid jump‑start. You’ll get:
- Day‑to‑day exposure – work alongside teams in IT, HR, marketing, finance and more.
- Mentorship – senior professionals will guide you through real projects, give feedback and help you grow.
- Workshops – technical and soft‑skill sessions that make you a well‑rounded professional.
- Impact – help build tools that bring banking, loans and payments to people who don’t normally get a chance to use them.
You’ll be based in one of Lesaka’s hubs: Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg or Polokwane. The programme kicks off on 1 March or 15 March 2026, so you can plan around school or other commitments.

What will you actually do?
- Assist teams with day‑to‑day tasks and larger projects.
- Support customer service, admin, research or tech teams depending on your role.
- Attend workshops and training sessions.

- Shadow professionals, learn industry jargon, and build your network.
You’ll receive regular coaching, feedback, and a stipend (exact amount will be disclosed during the interview stage).
