Mercedes‑Benz South Africa invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their 2026 Bursary Programme vacancies.
The closing date for applications is the 28 November 2025.


What the Mercedes‑Benz Bursary Gives You

This isn’t just free money for tuition. It’s a full package that helps you finish school and jump straight into the car industry.

  • All Fees Covered – Tuition, meals, living costs, books and a small allowance.
  • Choose Your School – Pick the university you like (follow the rules).
  • Summer Work at Mercedes‑Benz – Get real‑world experience in East London and see how cars are made and sold.

With this support you can focus on your grades and on learning the skills you’ll need in a high‑tech career.

Who Must Apply?

High‑School Students (Grade 12)

  • Average of 70 % or higher in all subjects.
  • At least 65 % in Mathematics or Physical Science if you want to study Engineering.
  • Must send your most recent results (third term) if you’re still in Grade 12.

University Students

  • Hold a matric certificate.
  • Latest semester average of at least 65 %.
  • Final‑year grades will be checked as part of the selection.

Other Eligibility Rules

  • South African citizens only.
  • People living in the Eastern Cape and children of Mercedes‑Benz employees get a little extra consideration.
  • You cannot already be an employee of Mercedes‑Benz or one of its group companies.
