MICT SETA invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Film & TV Production skills programme vacancies.

Who is this for?
If you live in the Vhembe District of Limpopo and love story‑telling, movies, and sound, this is your chance.
The programme is only open to people from Vhembe, so you don’t have to move far.
What is the programme?
- Name: 3‑month, SETA‑accredited Film & TV Production course
- Level: NQF 5 – the same level as a foundation degree in South Africa
- Partners: SAACYF and Madiba Media & Productions work with MICT SETA
- Place: Courses are run in Vhembe, so you stay close to home
- Space: Only 25 spots, so it’s competitive and highly personalised

Who must apply?
- Must live in Vhembe District, Limpopo Province
- Must love film, TV or visual storytelling
- Must be able to attend full‑time for 3 months (no excuses)
- Must not have finished this exact programme before
What documents do you send?
Send a single e‑mail with the five PDFs attached (max 10 MB).
Name each file accurately, for example: John_Doe_CV.pdf

- Certified Matric Certificate/Results
- One‑page synopsis of your film idea
- Motivational letter: Why you want this course
- CV (include links to any videos or projects)

All certificates should be recent (3–6 months old). Scan them clearly.
How to write your 1‑page synopsis
- Title & Logline – 1‑2 sentences that capture the core story
- Premise – 3‑4 sentences: world, main person, main problem
- Outline – 5‑7 sentences: beginning, middle, turning point, climax, end
- Theme – 1 sentence: the big idea you want to share (like community, courage, friendship)
Step‑by‑step application
- Gather the five PDF files.
- Draft a short e‑mail body:
- Name
- ID number
- Address in Vhembe
- Phone number
- 2‑3 sentence personal pitch “Why you’re the right fit”
- Subject line: MICT SETA Film & TV NQF 5 – [Your Name] – Vhembe

How the selection works
- Shortlisting – Judges look at motivation, clear idea, and completeness.
- Interview – Selected candidates may be asked to discuss their idea or show a short task.

- Outcome – You finish with a certified NQF 5 qualification and a showcase‑ready short film.
