What the opportunity is
Mthashana TVET College, in partnership with the National Skills Fund (NSF), is offering short skills programmes that run for three months. They are fully funded – no registration, tuition or consumable fees – and include a monthly stipend for the duration of the training.

Who can apply
- South African citizens
- Unemployed individuals (not currently studying or employed)

- Grade 10, 11 or 12 results, or

Entrepreneurship Programme
Teaches how to start, manage and grow a small business. Ideal for those who want to create their own employment.

- Dan Nkosi Skills Centre (Vryheid Campus 01) – 20 places
- Maputa Skills Centre (Maputa Campus 05) – 20 places
- Entry requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric), or
- NQF Level 4 qualification
How to apply – step by step
- Visit the Mthashana TVET College student portal: https://mthashana.coltech.co.za/#year.
- If you are new, click “Register a New Account” and create a username and password.
- Complete your student profile with personal details.
- Select the campus or skills centre where you wish to study.
- Choose the “3‑Month Training Opportunities” section.
- Pick the programme you want (Food Preparation or Entrepreneurship) and submit the online form.
Tips to improve your chances
- Have certified copies of your ID, highest school results and proof of residence ready before you start.
- Apply as soon as the portal opens – spots fill quickly.
- If applying for Entrepreneurship, sketch a simple business idea beforehand; it shows you are serious.
