What the opportunity is
The National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) is recruiting for two types of positions under the National Dialogue of South Africa programme:
- 120 Facilitators – R1 500 per completed dialogue
- 120 Rapporteurs – R2 500 per completed dialogue

Who can apply (requirements & eligibility)
Facilitator – 120 places
- Experience ≥ 2 years in community dialogue, workshops or public consultations
- Active involvement in community or sector work within the last two years
- Fluency in at least two official South African languages, plus strong command of the dominant local language
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
- Ability to manage conflict and work sensitively with trauma‑informed approaches
- Cultural sensitivity and emotional intelligence
- Must not be a government employee (national, provincial or local) or a Steering Committee member
Rapporteur – 120 places
- Minimum 1 year of experience in minute‑taking, report writing, transcription or similar documentation work
- Excellent listening and note‑taking abilities
- Strong written English; fluency in at least one other official language
- Access to a reliable recording device for dialogues
- Ability to stay neutral and objective under pressure
- Same ineligibility rule for government employees and Steering Committee members
