Northern Cape Health Diploma Nursing Training Programme 2026 Opportunities – Apply Now

Northern Cape Department of Health invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for its Diploma in Nursing Programme (R.171) vacancies.
The closing date for applications is 14 November 2025.


What’s the Diploma in Nursing Programme?

The programme is a full‑time course that takes three years to finish.
It’s officially recognised at NQF level 6 and follows the South African Nursing Council (SANC) rules under R.171.
Students learn everything from theory and science to hands‑on nursing skills, ready to work in hospitals, clinics and community health sites.

What documents must you upload?

When you apply online, bring these certified copies:

  1. South African ID
  2. Matric/NSC certificate
  3. Marriage or divorce certificate (if you have one)
  4. Proof of residence (like a municipal receipt or tribal authority letter)

Important notes to remember

  • Once you’re accepted you’ll get a bursary, but you must sign a contract that says you’ll work for the Department after you finish.
  • Only candidates who make the shortlist will be contacted. If you haven’t heard back in six weeks after 14 November 2025, your application was not successful.
  • The Department may not fill every spot if there aren’t enough applicants.

Many students think they can’t afford nursing school, but the Department’s bursary can cover most costs.
