What is the Sasol Fire Fighter Learnership?

This is a 12‑month fixed‑term learnership that mixes classroom lessons with hands‑on work at Sasol’s Secunda and Sasolburg sites. You will train in fire‑suppression, rescue tactics, safety checks and emergency simulations, all under industry‑approved standards.

Who can apply?

To be eligible, you must meet every item below. If one point is missing, you cannot be considered.

  • Age: 18 – 29 years
  • Location: Live in Sasol’s local communities – either Secunda or Sasolburg
  • Education: National Senior Certificate (Matric) with passes in Technical Mathematics, Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, English (or Business English) and Technical Science or Physical Science
  • Driver’s licence: Valid Code B licence or higher
  • Physical fitness: Ability to pass Sasol’s firefighter fitness and stress‑assessment tests (endurance, strength, agility, work in heights, confined spaces, etc.)

There are 12 positions total: 4 in Secunda and 8 in Sasolburg. The reference number for this posting is 12330.
