How to apply – step by step

  1. Prepare a tailored cover letter that mentions the reference number of the role you want.
  2. Update your CV to highlight relevant studies, computer skills and any volunteer or part‑time work.
  3. Get certified copies of your qualifications and your South African ID (dated within the last three months).
  4. Save all documents as PDFs.
  5. Email everything to jobapplications@joburgtheatre.com. Use the subject line “Application – [M&PR/06/2026]” or “Application – [BS/ST/06/2026]” as appropriate.
  6. Make sure you send the application before the closing date: Monday, 13 July 2026.

Tips to improve your chances

  • Proofread every document – spelling errors can cost you an interview.
  • Match your cover letter to the core competencies listed (e.g., computer literacy, communication skills, basic design or engineering knowledge).
  • Show examples of social‑media posts, design work or maintenance projects if you have them.
  • Apply early; many applicants wait until the last day.
  • Follow up with a polite email a week after the deadline to confirm receipt.

Next steps

Take a moment now to gather your documents and draft a short cover letter. The stipend and hands‑on experience can give you a solid start in either marketing or facilities management. If you meet the criteria, send your application before 13 July 2026 and begin building the professional experience that many South African graduates find hard to obtain.
