Makurung Process Solutions invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their 2025 – 2027 Graduate Development Programmes in Metallurgical and Mechanical Engineering. The closing date for applications is 17 October 2025.

Why Work With Makurung Process Solutions?

Makurung Process Solutions is a proud Limpopo‑based company that runs big mineral plants in Lebowakgomo and around the country. They make metal ores like chrome, platinum and coal more useful by turning them into clean materials that others can use to build cars, computers and power stations.
If you finish university with a degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering, these programmes give you a chance to learn hands‑on skills, meet experienced engineers, and start a real career right away.

1. Metallurgical Engineering Graduate Programme (24 Months)

What You’ll Do

  • Plant visits – You’ll spend time in the actual plants where ore is sorted and cleaned.
  • Process optimisation – Learn how to tweak machines and chemicals so that the plant runs faster and cheaper.
  • Data talks – Pull raw numbers from sensors, clean them up and turn them into reports that help the plant managers decide.
  • Better equipment – Work on projects that fix or improve the turbines, pumps and filters that keep the plants safe.

Key Topics

  • Running a spiral plant that separates metal from rock.
  • Counting, testing and adding the right amount of floatation chemicals.
  • Making dense‑medium separation (DMS) systems work smoother.
  • Grinding (milling) the ore into fine powder and sorting it.

What We Offer

  • Real‑time work with chrome, platinum and coal plants.

  • Let’s fix a problem – you’ll get to lead a small project.

After the 24‑month programme you’ll be ready for a senior junior engineer role at Makurung or in a mining outfit of your choice.

2. Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programme (24 Months)

  • Plan new parts – Design simple pieces of steel or plastic that will keep the plant running longer.

Key Tasks
