Learnerships & Apprenticeships

Sandvik Artisan Bridge Learnership Programme 2025/2026 Opportunities | Apply Now

Sandvik invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Artisan Bridge Learnership Vacancies. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2025.

What’s the Artisan Bridge Learnership all about?

Sandvik is a big name in mining and rock‑excavating machines. They’re looking for people who want to learn how to fix and rebuild these machines in South Africa’s mining industry. The programme is called the Artisan Bridge Learnership and it will run for 12 months. There are 10 spots available in Kempton Park, near Johannesburg.

During the year, you’ll:

  • Train on Sandvik equipment. You’ll learn how the machines work and how to keep them running smoothly.
  • Work on real jobs. You’ll help rebuild machines, do routine maintenance, and solve problems that the mine throws at you.
  • Get a solid learning plan. A clear schedule of lessons, on‑the‑job practice, and tests will keep your progress on track.

All of this is free, and once you finish the learnership you’ll have a recognised qualification that will make you very attractive to mine employers.

What will you actually do?

While you’re learning, you’ll keep up with a few key duties:

  1. Check the job rules. Read the terms of your agreement and follow them.
  2. Show up on time. Being on schedule shows respect and helps the team.
  3. Work hard. Put your best effort into every task and ask questions if you’re unsure.
  4. Respect everyone. Keep a professional and friendly attitude.
  5. Follow instructions. Listen carefully to your trainer’s guidance.
  6. Reach your goals. Finish all the assigned learning and assessment tasks.
  7. Keep records. Write down what you learn and keep the log for later review.
