What you’ll do as an intern
You will help put plans into action for services that support people with disabilities. Your tasks might include:
- Running projects – Assist with programs that give people with disabilities new skills or better access to services.

- Connecting with people – Meet with NGOs, community groups, other government offices, and city departments to make sure everyone works together.
You’ll need to be caring, good at talking to people, and ready to listen carefully.
Minimum requirements
- High‑school certificate (Matric/Grade 12) – a National Senior Certificate is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (Level 7) – fields such as Social Work, Sociology, Community Development, Public Administration, Psychology or Anthropology all fit.
- Must live in Johannesburg – proof of residency is required.
